As governor, Branch will represent the District’s 16 AAF-affiliate ad clubs on the AAF’s national board of directors. The sixth district includes clubs in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
Greg Branch, VP/creative director at Princing & Ewend, has been elected governor of the American Advertising Federation's (AAF) District 6. His one-year term began at the AAF's National Conference in Atlanta June 8-10. As governor, Branch will represent the District's 16 AAF-affiliate ad clubs on the AAF's national board of directors. The sixth district includes clubs in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
"I'm honored to be elected," says Branch, "and a little intimidated. It's an important time for the AAF, and a challenging time, in our region, for the advertising industry.
"There are also some big shoes to fill. The past governors of District 6 are some of the greatest people I've had the pleasure to work with, and they set the bar pretty high."
This will mark Greg's seventh year in a District 6 leadership position. He is a founding board member of the Mid-Michigan Advertising and Marketing Association (MMAMA) and was a board member and past president of its predecessor organization, the Advertising Federation of the Saginaw Valley. Also a member of Saginaw's City Council, Branch is a Saginaw native. He joined P&E in 1988.
The American Advertising Federation is the nation's oldest and largest advertising trade association, and the only one that represents members in all aspects of advertising – agencies, suppliers, advertisers and media. It is probably best known for its annual ADDY® Awards program, the industry's largest advertising creative awards program.
