On June 21-24, 2007, the newly formed Riverside Saginaw Film Festival organization will present the city's first film festival showing new independent releases, overlooked films, documentaries and shorts made by Saginaw natives, and possibly trade films made in Michigan.
The films will show at the Temple Theatre (a 1927-built restored movie theater), Pit and Balcony Community Theatre, the 303 Collective (an alternative theater group in town), the Old Saginaw City Lawn Chair Film Festival (a summertime outdoor series), the Court Theatre (a commercial theater located in a city neighborhood) and the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History -- five of which are located along the banks of the Saginaw River.
In addition, there will be special non-film events at these venues -- exhibitions, lectures, trivia contests, acting-before-the-camera lessons, and more.
Admission is $45.00 for event or $7.00 per show.
