The Delta College Foundation Board of Directors welcomed six new members, who joined for three-year terms beginning in 2008.

New members are:

  • Culli Damuth, representing Saginaw County, is a Copy Editor for The Saginaw News and a community volunteer.
  • Richard Dolinski, representing Midland County, is retired from The Dow Chemical Company, and currently serves as President of the Legacy Center for Student Success in Midland. He is a former member of the Delta College Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board of Directors.
  • James Fabiano II, representing Saginaw County, is the President of Fabiano Brothers, Inc.
  • Alice Gerard, representing Bay County, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bay Regional Medical Center, and received the 2007 Delta College Distinguished Alumni Award.
  • Robert Hetzler, representing Bay County, is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Monitor Sugar Company, and is a former member of the Foundation Board of Directors.
  • Mary Neely, representing Midland County, is a community volunteer and the widow of R. Brock Neely, a former member of the Delta College Board of Trustees.
Serving as officers for two years (2008 and 2009) are:
  • Robert Monroe, Chair, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gougeon Brothers, Inc., in Bay City, and represents Bay County.
  • Jenee Velasquez, Vice Chair, is the Executive Director of the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation of Midland, and represents Midland County.
  • James Wolohan, Past Chair, is the President of Wolohan Investments LLC of Saginaw, and represents Saginaw County.

The two companies recently named James R. Fitterling the chief executive officer of the new market leading global company - K-Dow Petrochemicals (KDP). Dow and PIC also announced the selection of Michigan as the location of the world headquarters for the new joint venture.


· Kim Harvey Starts at Wolverine BankKim Harvey Starts at Wolverine Bank
Kim Harvey has joined Wolverine Bank as a Business Development Officer, specializing in residential mortgage lending.


· Douglass named assoc. dean of CMU's science and technology collegeDouglass named assoc. dean of CMU's science and technology college
Biology department professor and Chairwoman Claudia Douglass has been named to the new post, effective July 1.
