Delta College

Delta College and Davenport University have entered in an agreement that will make it easier for Davenport students to complete Delta's Police Academy.

Currently, Delta has 18 different "articulation" agreements with Davenport that assist Delta students in transferring classes. The new agreement is unique because it is intended for Davenport students who have completed a bachelor degree in biometric security and wish to transfer back to Delta to complete the Police Academy. Biometric security is a science where body or physical attributes – including fingerprints, voice patterns, face geometry, hand geometry, retinal scans, signatures and typing patterns – are used for secure identification and authentication.

The agreement will also help Delta students who complete the Police Academy and wish to transfer on to Davenport. A signing ceremony was held recently on campus, with officials from both Delta and Davenport on hand.
